Ex-HVM Staff Biographies
Mat and Katy Linley
2008 Update: Mat and Katy with Phoebe (2) and Jonah (6 months) Linley are currently
studying at Redcliffe Bible College in Gloucester for one year in
preparation for returning to Mandritsara.
Mat and Katy spent a year at HVM 2003-04 with Mat working with the Community Health Team helping to develop a
water supply programme for the villages and Katy working as a doctor in the
hospital. They felt that God confirmed their call to overseas mission
during this time and particularly to Madagascar and the work of HVM.
It is hoped that Mat will be able to help with Bible teaching to support
village church leaders as well as working with the community health team and
Katy will work part-time in the hospital.
They are currently going through
the application process with Aim International (formerly Africa Inland
Mission). Their home church is Sutton Bonington Baptist Church near
Nottingham. They will spend the summer back in Sutton Bonington while they
prepare to leave and for Katy to gain further experience as a doctor in
obstetrics.
They plan to leave the UK in Autumn/Winter 08, possibly via
France to brush up their French language skills. Once in Madagascar they
will study Malagasy in Antsirabe before moving up to Mandritsara.
