Prayer News from the Linleys

Mat, Katy, Phoebe and Jonah joined the team in Mandritsara in July 2009 after five months of language study in Tana. Mat and Katy have previously worked at HVM in 2003-4. They are from Sutton Bonington, near Nottingham in the UK. They are here in Madagascar with Aim International (Africa Inland Mission). They are continuing to concentrate on learning Malagasy (and the local dialect Tsimihety) with Bako, their teacher, for the next few months.

Mat is spending time with the Community Health Team, Radesena (the hospital evangelist) and Pastor Julien (the pastor of the Baptist church). He hopes to be involved in the training of village church group leaders in the future as well as using his previous experience in water and environmental issues through the Community Health Team. He taught at the annual teaching of village church group leaders in November 2009.

Katy is a GP and she is currently working two mornings a week in outpatients. She hopes to be involved in maternal and child health in the future.

Phoebe is in the pre-school section of Ecole Bonne Nouvelle and is enjoying making friends there. Jonah stays at home and likes playing in the sand pit and with bugs. He is looked after by Jiliette when Mummy and Daddy are busy.
