We have been considering for some time whether we should extend our work and start another hospital in a different part of Madagascar. Maintirano has been on our hearts, and following a visit there we believe this is the place we should seek to start a new work. It is a very remote town, some 400 miles south-west of Mandritsara on the west coast. Road access is very difficult and only possible for 2 or 3 months a year. It is the centre of a large area (size of Belgium) with a population about 250,000. Medical services are very poor. Spiritually it is very dark indeed. The people are mostly spirit/ancestor worshippers, but there are quite a lot of Muslims including those of Comorian origin. Please pray that the Lord might guide us clearly. We need:
