Hopitaly Vaovao Mahafaly, Mandritsara – Personnel needs
We are looking for committed evangelical Christians, called by God, to work
in the team at Mandritsara.
Here is a list of our current staff needs:
Short term volunteers
(1 to 3 months)
- Gap year students are not usually accepted.
- Medical and Nursing electives. Medical and Nursing Students wishing to do their electives at Mandritsara should be evangelical Christians and able to communicate in French.
- Volunteers. Volunteers should be evangelical Christians with some skill or experience that may be useful (e.g. surgeon, nurse, laboratory technician, carpenter, mechanic, builder etc). Doctors, nurses and lab technicians may be able to cover for leave or furlough replacement. Doctors and nurses should be competent in French. This is not necessary for short term specialist surgeons, or for lab technicians or builders etc.

Short term missionary staff
(3 months to 1 year)
- As for volunteers - doctors, nurses, midwives, lab technicians, carpenter, builder, mechanic etc.
- Nurses, midwives or junior doctors can be very helpful for one year.
- Primary school teacher (native or fluent French speaker) for the Good News School minimum 1 year

Long term missionary staff

- Surgeon - capable of basic general, gynae and orthopaedic surgery. Our
current surgeons are fully stretched.
- Laboratory technician - in 2004 the department did 22,000 tests with 2
