A few updated prayer points:
1. The third meeting of the holiday children's Bible club took place at Antsirombato on Saturday 7 Aug. 210 children and over 20 adults took part. What a joy to see the gospel being freely proclaimed in a village where there has been strong and complete opposition to the gospel. There are 3 more meetings this month. Please pray for the children and adults from this village who have basically no Biblical knowledge whatever, that they may be freed from their slavery to Satan.
2. Ambodiadabo is a village 40km north west of Mandritsara and a centre of spiritual darkness. The community health team have had 3 vaccination sessions there, and now leaders of the village have asked for a team to go to teach the Bible. Zoky Solo and his wife Nivo, and the two Malagasy Bible school students currently doing a placement here with Solo, went there on Aug 6th and will stay until 11th.
3. Dr Hanitra (eye surgeon), Mme Vololoniony (head nurse) and Edmond (aide-soignant) are due to fly with MAF to Mananara on the east coast on Monday 9th August for a 3 day eye clinic at the government hospital. This will be Hantira's third trip there, but the first time she has stayed several days. This will give more time for the consultations, looking for cataract cases for operation, and prescribing glasses. Please pray also for the gospel witness there - they will be distributing two main tracts in Malagasy - "Four important things " and "Sir, I want to see".
4. Dr Francis and the Community Health team are currently giving two months' training to 17 village health care workers from remote villages in the area. There is a variation in their capabilities technically, and also in their spiritual commitment and understanding. Please pray for Francis and others involved in this training.
5. Erection of the church roof is underway. Please pray for safety and success!
6. The annual assembly of the Association fo Bible Baptist Churches of Madagascar is due to take place in Tamatave (Toamasina) from 18-22 August. Please pray for the preparations. Dr Adrien and Gisele, Dr Francis and Seheno, Pastor Julien and Claire, Zoky Solo and Nivo should all be there from Mandritsara.
