“I will not keep silent, I will not remain quiet, till righteousness shines out like the dawn,
salvation like a blazing torch.” Isaiah 62:1
In February, we posted a story about plans for expansion to the Voice of the Good News radio station – with a new studio building, new antenna and equipment and extra staff.

In June, we posted a story about the transport of materials and equipment to the top of a hill by Helimission for the construction of the radio tower and its new antenna.

Today we would like to thank God that the work is almost completed and the inauguration is due shortly.
We asked Diamondra, the radio station head, to update us. Here is what he wrote:
The new radio station building and solar panels
Construction of the new building
The construction of the new Voice of the Good News radio studio building was fully completed by a local building firm in July. Some minor work, including landscaping the site, remains to be finished. The hospital maintenance team are handling this and planning to complete everything this month.

Installation of the new radio mast
Erecting the mast (pylon) with the radio antenna on the top of a nearby hill has now been completed, along with setting up the smaller pylon and antenna system next to the studio in town. This will send the radio signals to the hilltop antenna for broadcasting into the wider Mandritsara district.

Commissioning of the new Facilities
The official inauguration is due to take place on 21 November 2025, during the closing celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the Good News for Mandritsara project. In December we plan to undertake the removal of equipment and staff from the old building, in the grounds of the Good News School, to the new facilities, and start to use all the recently acquired equipment.

Training our team
Diamondra in the new soundproof studio
A training session on audio production was organized from September 29th to October 3rd for all the radio staff. This was aimed at strengthening their technical skills, whilst also seeking a significant improvement in the quality of the work and programmes produced.
Adding to the Radio Team
In October, the radio station welcomed two new workers as “On-Air Technicians.” Stephan and Rémi, who both live in Mandritsara had already been working as volunteers at the station. The first three months will be a trial period, and if that goes well, we hope to appoint them permanently in the New Year.

Please pray:
Thank God for His amazing provision of vision, plans, funds, equipment and personnel
Pray for the inauguration day on 21 November and for all who will attend including local officials – that men and women might hear and see the goodness of God and the wonder of the Good News of Jesus
Pray that all the equipment may work well and prove effective in carrying the Gospel over the airways to remote communities
Pray for the new staff members that they may learn and integrate well
Pray for Diamondra and his team that they may continue fervent and faithful in Gospel service.
